A personal page is yours alone. Only you can open it, which makes it the place to keep the tables, charts, and metrics you check most often — a working view built around how you do your job, rather than one shared with your team.
Creating a personal page
You create a personal page the same way you create any page, then set it to be personal rather than shared. Give it a clear name and, if you like, an icon so it stands out in your navigation.
- Start creating a new page.
- Choose to make the page personal, so it stays private to you.
- Enter a name for the page, and optionally pick an icon.
- Confirm to create it. Pyron opens the page so you can start adding content.
The ability to create personal pages depends on your role. If you do not see a way to add one, ask your administrator. See roles and permissions.
A page holds one or more tabs, and each tab holds widgets — tables, charts, and single-value metrics. Building a personal page works the same as building a shared one: add the widgets you want and arrange them to suit you. See pages, tabs, and widgets and dashboards for how the pieces fit together.
Personal vs shared
Every page is either personal or shared, and you choose which when you create it.
A personal page stays with you. It does not appear in anyone else's navigation, and there is no option to share it — it is meant for one person. Your edits are saved as you work, so there is no separate step to publish them.
A shared page works for a group. It appears in the navigation of everyone it is shared with, and you decide who can view or edit it through its access settings. Rather than saving as you go, a shared page keeps your changes as a draft: you make them first, then publish when the page is ready for others to see.
Because the scope is set when the page is created, a personal page cannot be handed to your team later. If you build something others should see, create a shared page for it instead. For more on who can see what, see access and sharing.
